Religious Groups

This unique opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students provides a truly multi-faith, multi-ethnic and socio-economically diverse environment. Students meet regularly in small dialogue groups with the goal of enhancing religious, cultural and spiritual understanding. In coming to 'know the other' they also come to better know themselves. Monthly community-wide lectures, retreats and visits to houses-of-worship are all part of the program.

The Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) at MIT provides ministry to undergrad, graduate students and family members. While partially sponsored by Baptist congregations through the Baptist Convention of New England, BCM is here to serve all Christians through weekly worship, Bible study, small groups, and retreats or conferences each semester. For decades BCM has also served the entire MIT community by offering free English classes for international students, scholars and spouses.

Gifts to the MIT Buddhist campus ministry to develop and support programs for spiritual and mental well being of MIT students and community.

The fund provides support for student affairs with preference for activities of the Tech Catholic Community.

The Protestant Student Community at MIT is here to serve Presbyterian, Methodist, United Church of Christ, and American Baptist students, faculty and staff, and is open to all. This ministry is dedicated to serving all Christians through regular Sunday worship at the MIT Chapel, retreats, social events, alternate spring break experiences and Bible study.

Gifts from alumni/ae and friends to support the programs and events of the Muslim Students' Association.

The MSA is dedicated to supporting and fostering the Muslim community at MIT and to increasing Islamic awareness on campus.

This fund supports the interfaith efforts sponsored by the Chaplain to the Institute.

Gifts in support of the MIT Sloan Christian Fellowship Fund. The Sloan Christian Fellowship Fund is committed to providing opportunities for: (1) Fostering fellowship: genuine friendships, support, and growth in the intense business school environment; (2) Discussing the application of faith to business: our purpose as future business leaders and Biblical perspectives on leadership, work, and ethics; and (3) Exploring questions of faith: a forum for business students curious about Christianity, regardless of faith background.
